Is Everybody Getting A Facebook Account?
About 3-4 months ago I got a Facebook account. At first it was pretty dead and my daughter Amy was my only friend. But it seems like in the last month everyone who I have ever heard of from blogging is now on Facebook. It's like I can feel the momentum of this social utility growing. True? If you have a Facebook account and are reading this...let's connect via Facebook.
Time magazine had an interesting interview with Mark Zuckerberg (see pic), the 23 year old CEO of Facebook in an article: The Future of Facebook. He says they have been doubling their membership every 6 months for quite a while. The article also says there are now 30 million active members. So, it's not just my imagination...Facebook is really booming!

Ok...I think I added you Dave...if not my facebook link is http://www.facebook.com/p/Jason_Curlee/508531840

Hey Dave-
I read your blog all the time and I'm on facebook. I haven't been able to figure out how to add you since you're not in my email contacts. But you can send me a request if you want to.
You guys are doing great things at CCC and I love watching God work there.

Ok, until I read your blog tonight (up late for medical reasons) I had no idea what a "Face Book" is and or was. I did sign up for an account in addition to a "myspace". I can not beleive how many different "Dave Ferguson's" there are in the world, you come in so many different shapes and sizes ;-)

Just added you to facebook. I'm a youth minister and have been watching for the past 10 years as students have moved to forms of communication that are less and less personal. Facebook has been the latest form of engagement. Students used to call one another, then they emailed, then they moved to MSN and now it's myspace and facebook where you comment and then hours to days later someone responds. It is really a interesting study of where this next generation is moving in terms of community and communication...
