i'd love to hear more about the journal, what's on the inside and how it was created.

Tammy M

Thanks for sharing the story about Caleb! That made my day!

Michael, if you want to get more info on the journal e-mail Tammy Melchien. Tammy is our Kids City Champion. Or if you e-mail me your address I will get you one. Dave

Dave, We provide a take home for the kids that has an activity, etc. but find that almost no parents use it to reinforce what the child learned at church. Sometimes we use the big idea, not all times and even when we do I only have 2-3 parents from 100+ kids that actually use the hand out. And I've tried different ones (we are using KIDMO right now and they provide a great one as a resource). How do we actually get the parents and kids to do them?

Tina, in Caleb's situation I am pretty sure that he is journaling because he sees his parents do it and it is expected. Kids City at CCC is great because it re-inforces the value rather than instills the value. So, if we can get the parents to value this and live it out AND our children's ministries to reinforce it, then we got a winning combo. Does that help?

Praise God that you homeschool. We do it too. Our kids love it and we love it.

"hearing from God and courageously obeying Him everyday!"---so simple, yet so easy to put ourselves first. Definitely need the reminders!
