I'd like to take the liberty of adding a 10th principle. This is actually a book title by Marshall Goldsmith:

"What Got You Here Won't Get You There"

Good Book, Marshall worked closely w/ Peter Drucker...Dave I kbelieve your a fan of Drucker.

Paul, that sounds like the innovators dilemma I was referring to in the previous post.

Dave, the premise for Goldsmith's book is how successful leaders/organizations achieve greater success more so than adressing innovator's dilemma. Although I think there may be some interesting parallels. He wrote the book based on Drucker's quote:

"We spend a lot of time teaching leaders what to do. We don't spend enough time teaching leaders what to stop. Half the leaders I have met don't need to learn what to do. They need to learn what to stop."

I think this can be organizational as well. Anyway so much on the plug for the book.

Paul, interesting... So what would you say that CCC needs to stop doing?

Andrew Conard

Dave - These are excellent guidelines. Thank you for sharing them.
